Charity Tandem Skydive in aid of The Mad Hatters Charity

The Mad Hatters Charity was started 7 years ago primarily to give sick and disabled Midlands children exciting days out. Having received charitable status in March 2009, we now work with over 90 ‘special needs schools’ in the Midlands area.

We want to continue providing days out for the children; it is vitally important as it gives less fortunate youngsters something to look forward to, enabling them to make new friends and have new experiences (so far some 7,000 local children have benefitted).

We regularly receive requests from the schools to help fund specialist equipment they need, i.e. sensory equipment, wheelchairs, therapy cycles, which help to increase children’s independence and quality of life; subject to funds being available we help where we can.

Social responsibility is an important aspect of all commercial activity today and the charity has links with many local businesses. Working closely with Mad Hatters Charity helps them to fulfil their commitment to the community. It is hoped to run many events throughout the year, with opportunities for not only companies but individuals to get involved through sponsorship and brand awareness.

Only with the continued support from our local community, will the charity be able to achieve its aims and contribute substantially to the welfare of special children throughout the Midlands area.
