Charity Tandem Skydive in aid of Moor House School
Moor House is a non-maintained Special Needs School and College, a registered charity and a world class centre of excellence, providing specialist education, therapy and residential care for children and young people aged 7-19 with the most severe and complex speech and language disabilities.
Their vision is of a society where speech and language disabilities do not prevent a young person from achieving his or her learning and communication potential, building an independent life and contributing positively to society. In our specialist environment, students are empowered so they can understand, learn, express their ideas, communicate feelings and thoughts, develop friendships and become confident young adults.
For over 65 years the school have witnessed the transformational journeys of their students, and today, Moor House is one of very few specialist speech and language schools in the UK that continues to be a leading centre of expertise in the field. Innovative work in many areas of speech and language therapy and in teaching methods continues to place the School & College at the forefront of research, development and practice in the education of children and young people with communication disorders. The school has provided inspiration for other schools internationally, and continues to lead in areas of specialist education, therapy and research.
