Charity Tandem Skydive in aid of Limbless Association

About Us
The Limbless Association is a registered charity (Charity registration Nos. 803533 and SCO42256) that was originally established in 1983. Since then, it has grown to become the leading UK charity for people with limb-loss. It was granted charitable status in Scotland on 18 April 2011
The Limbless Association was formerly based in south-west London, at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton (The Douglas Bader Rehabilitation Centre). This was the first-ever prosthetic centre in the UK (built in 1915) and is still regarded as a centre-of-excellence for prosthetic treatment and rehabilitation. In April 2010, the office moved to Jubilee House in Brentwood, Essex and in September 2011, the office moved to its current address at Waterhouse Business Centre, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 2QE.

What We Do
The Limbless Association provides information and support to the limb-loss community. We aim to support people of all ages and backgrounds through a variety of existing programmes and services.
We offer support to individuals of any age, whether they are about to have an amputation or are already living with congenital or acquired limb-loss and we offer assistance and information to carers, family members and friends if they require it. We support both the civilian and military population and work closely with other UK Charities to provide the best overall service for each individual.
We provide a national association of friends and contemporaries through the Limbless Association membership system and provide a single, unified voice for the UK limb-loss community, creating a national union and alliance for UK prosthetic patients.
The Limbless Association does not receive any Government, lottery or NHS funding and survives solely on the income provided by members, friends, private supporters and corporate sponsors. We continue to offer all of our services for free, ensuring that no one is ever without the information and support they need, regardless of their ability to pay. However, if you are in a position to make a contribution it will of course be gratefully received.
