They are a local family charity that offers emotional and practical support to parents with at least one child under 5. Their team of trained volunteers visit families in their own home, building trusted relationships and providing focused support that is tailored to the family's individual needs.

Could you skydive for Home-Start Herts?
Once again, Home-Start Herts are asking for volunteers to put themselves forward to Sky Dive and raise some much-needed funds for Home-Start Herts.
Home-Start is a local family & children’s charity which offers emotional and practical support to families that are dealing with various challenges that life throws their way.
The Sky Dive has turned into an annual fundraising event, helping Home-Start to meet the increasing needs of local families struggling to cope with day to day life.
Family life can be fun, full of laughter, and full of love. It can also be frustrating, challenging and extremely difficult. Everybody has ups and downs, but a nurturing, stable family life teaches our children how to love, how to learn and paves the way to a happy, confident adulthood. But what happens when family life breaks down?
When parents, carers or grandparents are unable to provide regular routines, mealtimes, school runs, cuddles, play and bedtime stories?
Trained and experienced Home-Start volunteers visit families weekly in their own homes to help them deal with the challenges they face. We support parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build stable and nurturing lives for their children, so they can achieve their potential in life.
Fundraising is vital to the Charity’s future survival and the Sky Dive is a great way for you to show your support for Home-Start Herts.
