Charity Tandem Skydive with the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity supports people living with cancer through research, drugs
trials and award-winning support centres. Founded in 1999, the charity is named after the
television presenter, Helen Rollason MBE.

They provide funding for nurses who support patients taking part in trials of new cancer
treatments at the Helen Rollason Research Centre at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford and
also at the North Middlesex University Hospital, London.

Over 3,000 patients have participated since 2000, leading to effective new cancer drugs that
are now available to the general public.

Their scientists are working on research projects to improve understanding of breast cancer at
the Helen Rollason Research Laboratory at Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford.

At their three cancer support centres in Essex, Hertfordshire and London, patients and their
carers receive counselling and support. Patients can also have therapies that complement
their medical treatment. The charity make no charge for these services.

Their patients tell them that the care they receive at their centres - including counselling, massage
and reflexology – helps them to cope with their illness.
